Understanding Autism & Strategies to Support 24/25

Target group

This course is targeted to all Children’s Social Care staff who work for the London Borough of Sutton. 

Aims

The aim of this session is:

• To better understand autistic young people and develop a bank of resources for support.

Learning objectives

By attending this course, participants will have:

• An ability to develop an understanding of what autism is
• An greater understanding of a range of strategies to use to better support these young people
• An increased knowledge of sensory differences and how these can impact on learning
• An increased knowledge of tools to implement to support understanding and communication of emotions
