This course is targeted to ASC staff, including social workers, social work assistants, occupational therapists & OTAs, Rehabilitation Officers for Visual Impairment, sensory support workers etc, tasked with carrying out Care Act 2014 compliant assessments under the general guidance and specialist deafblind assessments under Section 6 of the Care Act as part of the duties placed on the London Borough of Sutton.

This two, consecutive day-long course is mentioned specifically in the Care Act 2014 as providing the skills and knowledge required of a ‘suitable person to carry out an assessment’ under Section 6.94 of the Care Act 2014
