TARGET GROUP

This course is targeted to London Borough of Sutton staff working within Adult Social Care and commissioned providers within Nursing, Residential and Day Care Services, including Home Carers, working with London Borough of Sutton residents. 

AIM

The aim of this session is:

To understand the basics of caring for patients with chronic heart failure (HF) and chronic respiratory diseases (CRD).

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this course participants will have:

  • An increased understanding of the causes of HF / CRD
  • An ability to identify common symptoms of HF / CRD and when patients are deteriorating
  • An improved understanding of how HF / CRD symptoms can be prevented
  • An increased understanding into the role of specialist services and how they support Primary Care / GP
