To be inspired by Kerry Murphy, who is an autistic and ADHD early childhood specialist. She has a passion for neurodiversity and disability affirming practice.
She is a lecturer in higher education and works with early years settings, organisations and local authorities in improving understanding of neurodivergence, disability, diverse child development and play cultures.
This training session is suitable for Practitioners working with children in PVI settings and in the Foundation Stage in Schools.
Kerry will deliver sessions on Diverse Pathways of Development and Self-directed Play and Neurodiversity.
After attending this session, you will:
- Be able to explore the various ways children can develop, providing new perspectives and insights into divergent pathways of development.
- Be able to reimagine your understanding of play through a neurodiversity affirming lens
- Be able to explore the diverse patterns of play and to facilitate their intrinsic meaning to children.
Please note lunch is not provided - refreshments will be available before and midway through the conference.
