This course is targeted to all social care staff in children’s services who work for the London Borough of Sutton.
Aims
The aims of this session are:
- To focus on the key tasks for social workers once a child becomes looked after.
- To provide information on the LAC (looked after child) process from their initial review onwards, and the key tasks of the child's IRO.c
Learning Objectives
By attending this course, participants will have:
- An increased knowledge about how to make a referral once a child becomes looked after;
- An increased knowledge about the timescales for submission of reports and LAC reviews
- An increased knowledge about the responsibilities of the child's IRO;
- An increased knowledge about the social worker responsibilities towards keeping the IRO informed;
