Target group

This course is targeted to Children’s Social Care staff, including social workers, specialist support workers, early help practitioners, PA’s and youth workers, who work for the London Borough of Sutton.

Aims

The aim of this session is:

  • To provide information about Preparation to Adulthood to support the knowledge and understanding of those staff who are working with children and young people aged 14+. 

Learning objectives

By the end of this course participants will have:

  • An increased understanding of what Preparation for Adulthood is.
  • An increased understanding of when to consider a referral to Adult Social Care.
  • An improved awareness of how to refer to Transition Operational Group / Adults Social Care.
  • An increased understanding of what to include in the Preparation for Adulthood workstep on Mosaic.
