Programme overview
The session will include presentations from the below speakers:
- Papyrus
- Citizens Advice Sutton
- Talking Therapies
The session will also include an introduction and close from the SSAB independent chair, Chief Executive and Director of Public Health.
Aims
The aim of the session is
- To shift from a culture of silence and stigma to one of openness, understanding, and support. It means advocating for policies and legislation that prioritise mental health, increase access to care, and provide support for those in need.
Learning objectives
At the end of the event, participants will have:
- An improved awareness of the services and programmes available within Sutton that can provide hope to those who may be struggling.
- An increased understanding about mental health issues and how to tackle silence and stigma.
- An increased understanding of the risk factors for suicide and to feel more hopeful that we can all play a part in addressing these
- share the referral raising routes to ensure those who need it can be given access to appropriate support.
