Education Health and Care Plan Social Care Advice - SEND Bitesize Programme 24/25

Target group

This course is targeted to Children’s Social Care staff, including social workers, specialist support workers, early help practitioners, PA’s and youth workers, who work for the London Borough of Sutton.

Aims

The aim of this session is:

• To provide information about the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment process to support the completion of social care advice for children and young people who have additional needs and/or disabilities. 

Learning objectives

By the end of this course participants will have:

• An increased understanding of what an Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment is.
• An increased understanding of your roles and responsibility in supporting the EHCNA application.
• An improved awareness of how to complete good quality social care advice for the EHCNA.
• An improved awareness of key information and what to include in the social care advice.
• An increased understanding of the processes and expectations linked to Mosaic.
