Risk Assessment training for Occupational Therapists 25/26

Target group

This training is aimed at Occupational Therapists working at the London Borough of Sutton.

Aims

The aim of this session is:

• To consider the use of risk assessment as a tool to assist with clinical decisions as an Occupational Therapist working in the community.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course participants should have:

• An improved understanding of principles of risk assessment and risk management.
• An improved understanding of how a risk assessment, which may be in conjunction with a best interest decision, informs an Occupational Therapy functional assessment and decisions on interventions such as the provision of equipment and adaptations.
