This course focuses on typical physical development milestones during early childhood and examines common risk factors that may influence development. Participants will gain insights into motor skills, sensory development, and health markers from infancy through early school years.

This training session is suitable for EY Practitioners and SENCOs (in schools or nursery settings).

The aim of this session is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of typical physical development milestones and common risk factors during early childhood.

After attending this session, you will

  • Understand the sequential progression of motor skills and sensory development in early childhood.
  • Identify key health markers and their significance in monitoring child development.
  • Recognize environmental, genetic, and socio-economic risk factors that can impact physical development.
