Contact with Birth Families 23/24

Target Group:

This course is targeted to foster carers and other social care roles in children’s services. 

Aims:

The aims of this session is:
• To enable carers to build effective strategies for dealing with contact difficulties
• To address contact within an anti-discriminatory framework

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the course participants will have:
• Looked at the aims of contact for looked-after children
• Explored how carers can develop skills in relation to contact
• Provided a safe space to discuss experiences and in order to problem solve and support others
