COGNUS - Sutton Year 6 Writing Standardisation and Moderation 2024

This course is focused on supporting year 6 teachers to make accurate end of KS2 assessments.

• KS2 statutory assessment arrangements in 2025.
• How to make a standard judgement in writing.

Teachers should bring along 3 books that they can share with other year 6 teachers. (1 x WTS, 1 x EXS and 1 x GDS.)

This training session is suitable for:

• Teachers new to year 6
• Year 5 and 6 teachers who would like to refresh their subject knowledge.

This training will be updated from previous years.

The aim of this session is to support teacher’s knowledge and understanding of making writing assessment judgements.

After attending this session, you will understand the moderation process in Sutton and know how to articulate writing assessment judgements.
