COGNUS VIRTUAL - Teachers New to the Phonics Screening Check 2026

This course will provide guidance for Y1 and Y2 teachers who will administer the screening check in June 2026.

This training session is suitable for:

• Year 1 teachers
• Year 2 teachers
• KS1 leaders
• Teachers and support staff administering the check.

The aim of this session is to:

• Understand the structure of the check
• Know how to administer the check
• Have wider phonics updates.

After attening this session, you will be sufficiently prepared for the phonics screening check.
