Target Group

This course is for identified Champions from the London Borough of Sutton chosen provider list 2024.

Aims

The aim of this session is: 

• To ensure Lead Provider Moving and Handling Champions are supported in their role to best support their staff with managing moving and handling risks.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course participants will have:

• An increased understanding to further explore equipment and techniques for optimising care and maximising efficiency.
• An increased understanding of implementing moving and handling instruction and measuring competency of staff.
• An ability to share progress and problems encountered to give an opportunity for others to learn from experience.

Special Instructions

• You must have previously attended the Champions one day practical course or 4.5 day Moving and handling course in Sutton.
• All delegates must arrive on time, be able to complete the session and come dressed appropriately for a practical moving and handling course. This includes wearing stable footwear and clothes which will allow them to participate both as a handler and as a model in the session.
• NO PARKING is allowed within the Sutton Inclusion Centre grounds. Please allow for additional time to park within roads nearby.
