TARGET GROUP

All staff in Adults services that have pervious knowledge of the Care Act legislation and require an update.

 

Staff must have completed the Introduction to Assessment and the Care Act 2014 (taking place on the 6th August 2019) or have undertaken similar training in the past prior to this event.

 

AIM

This course details the statutory framework surrounding Adult Social Care Assessments and its implementation, including: 

- The Wellbeing Principle 
- Duty to Assess 
- Carers Assessment 
- Ordinary Residence and duty to meet assessed needs 
- Mental Capacity Assessments 
- Best Interest Assessments and Decisions 
- Assessment of People with No Recourse to Public Funds
