 London Borough of Sutton Adult Social Care Managers and Practitioners  including Social Workers, Assessment officers

Aim:

This workshop will provide an insight into different types of caring responsibilities, some of the common challenges experienced by carers and guidance for working with them effectively.

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this course participants should have:

  • A better understanding on how to advocate for an outcomes-focussed, strengths based approach for carers 
  • Gained knowledge on how to use research findings and other evidence to inform their practice relation to carers 
  • The ability to use different tools and approaches to support practice and help carers achieve their desired outcomes 
  • Gained greater confidence in working effectively with carers and seek creative solutions to meet their identified outcomes 
  • The ability to produce action plans in relation to practice development needs
