COGNUS VIRTUAL - Social model of emotional wellbeing for autistic students

Exploring Steve Andrew’s model, we will look at the 7 key strands to wellbeing for autistic students, from a social-model perspective. 

This training session is suitable for SENCos, class teachers, Inclusion leads, wellbeing leads.

The aim of this session is to explore emotional challenges and behaviour from a social-model perspective.  We will look at the seven areas of emotional wellbeing (positive social connection, environment, mission and purpose, body and brain, identity, messages and needs) as proposed by Steve Andrews.

After attending this session, you will:

• Gain insight into potential reasons for behaviour
