Target group

This session is targeted to SHP staff only. 

Aim

This session aims to help staff develop awareness in relation to their duty under Working Together 2018 to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people. It will cover the most common signs and symptoms of neglect or abuse and how to respond to these within a multi-agency context. It will also cover the importance of following the LSCP multi-agency threshold guidance if you are concerned about a child or young person.
 
Learning outcomes

At the end of the session you will be able to:
- recognise the most common signs of abuse and neglect
- understand the multi-agency context of child safeguarding 
- know how to access guidance and refer a concern about a child or young person.
