The Child Safeguarding Toolkit is a unique and comprehensive learning resource for everyone who comes into contact with children and has been designed to help prevent further serious injury or child deaths. 126 Serious Case Reviews (SCR) were published in the first 17 months of the National Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel’s operation and there were over 500 notifications of serious child safeguarding incidents during this period.
The Toolkit includes animations, bitesize and e-learning modules, and up-to-date practice resources. It is based on the 10 key safeguarding principles developed by local partners and includes learning from both local and national SCRs, as highlighted in the first annual report of the National Panel.
