Health professionals, children's social  care,  schools and education support services, voluntary sector,  and anyone else who is working directly with children and young people

Aim:

The aim of this webinar is to share learning from research and clinical practice to inform practice in a range of organisational settings. It includes techniques and practical tools developed to improve communication with children who have been exposed to neglect and abuse, based on a trauma informed approach.  

Learning Objectives:

After having attended this session, participants will have:

1) An improved knowledge and understanding about the importance of developmental considerations in respect of aspects relating to memory, and language in the context of child development.

2) An improved knowledge and understanding about the effect of adverse experiences on children and young people, and what contributes to building resilience

3) Explored tools and techniques for communicating with children and promoting resilience
