Manager's Restorative Group Supervision - Children's
Date & Time:
Target Group / Level
All frontline managers working in children’s social care services.
Restorative reflection aims to provide an opportunity for workers to discuss difficult feelings and emotional labour associated with working in social care. The focus of discussion is not what the worker should do with the case, rather what feelings cases may elicit and how we are managing them.
• A safe space for managers to explore challenging emotions that arise as part of working in children’s social care
• Greater awareness of challenging and difficult emotions and how we manage them
• Identification and promotion of self-caring actions to reduce feelings of burnout and promote resilience
• Experiential learning of restorative supervision for modelling to team members
