Target Group / Level
Staff Group B, C, D (predominately working with vulnerable adults as set out in the Safeguarding Adults Competency framework. Intercollegiate Level 2: all staff that have regular contact with patients, their families or carers, or the public.
Course Overview
This Forum aims to provide an opportunity for partners to increase their awareness and knowledge on a range of topics related to safeguarding practice.
The forum will occur on a bi monthly basis and will invite speakers to attend for the first hour with the remainder of the session for reflection, discussion and sharing of best practice supporting agencies to ensure adults at risk in their services are protected from harm or abuse.
Learning Outcomes
• To increase awareness and knowledge of safeguarding practice
• Staff to have access to a range of tools and best practice through sharing of ideas.
• Improve the emotional impact of safeguarding practice by staff having the time to reflect and share experiences.
• Improve multiagency working and networks across the borough
