ZMen in Fostering

Target Group:  

This course is targeted to Foster Carers who work for the London Borough of Sutton.

Aims:

This aims of this session is to improve the understanding of the barriers to achieving a successful male caring role, how men might navigate through these challenges and know the key areas of influence that men have on children in care, and how this is relevant for different age groups.

Learning Outcomes:  

By the end of this session you will have:
• An improved understanding about how the gender of carers is relevant, considering this from the viewpoint of the looked after child
• Determine what makes a positive male role model
