TARGET GROUP
All staff in Adults services that have pervious knowledge of the Care Act legislation and require an update.
Staff must have completed the Introduction to Assessment and the Care Act 2014 or have undertaken similar training in the past prior to this event.
AIM
This course details developments in Adult Social Care and case law updates, including:
- Court of Protection – section 21A and Lasting Power of Attorney challenges
- CCG Continuing Healthcare assessments and challenging decisions
- Ordinary Residence disputes and determinations by the Secretary of State
- Mental Capacity Assessments – Welfare, Finance and Litigation
- Best Interest Assessments and Decisions
- Preparation of evidence for the Courts- - -Liberty Protection Safeguards and Deprivation of Liberty
