This course is for SENCO’s , Post 16/Preparing for Adulthood Leads in local areas and SEND/Preparing for Adulthood Curriculum leads in post 16 provision, Sutton Parent/Carer Forum (SPCF), Social care and health professionals who have a post 16 role. 

Level 3-5 SEND Competency framework 

Aims

The aim of this course is to explore the current challenges facing the post 16 sector in relation to young people with SEND and agree some actions for support. 

Learning objectives

By the end of the session you will have:

- An improved understanding about how  to meet the legal requirement to have reviewed, amended and finalised EHCPs for young people who are transferring in to a Post 16 placement
- Explored best practice approaches to ensure that support needs are met.
